It’s a convergence of all things Soviet! Lest you think that you won’t get your fill after our exhibition closes of that era…

The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University is hosting an exhibition of Soviet satellite photographs, by Jonas Bendikson. No info is posted on their site yet, but their marketing materials list the dates as 11/8-12/19.

In New York at the MoMA, the exhibition Lost Vanguard: Soviet Modernist Architecture, 1922-32 is about to close, on October 29th.

For those of you interested in the performing arts, the BSO has a Russian lineup in February. Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6.
