Guided tour on Saturday & other news

The Art Gallery has a free guided tour this Saturday at 2:30 pm in the Tisch Gallery.

About 300 students attended our first ever afterparty following the opening reception last Friday. Congratulations to our gallery attendants for their superb planning and advertising!

Edward Burtynsky’s film Manufactured Landscapes debuted at Sundance. Our inside source tells us it was phenomenal! Many of the images from the film are at the Tufts Gallery now.

The New York Times today posted a story on migrant workers in China and their struggle to send their children to school. This is part of an ongoing series they’ve had on China and its economic and social expansion. Click here for the article.

The Art Gallery’s spring shows open this FRIDAY, JAN. 19 @ 5:30 pm. All are invited to the reception in the Remis Sculpture Court, Aidekman Arts Center. Free food and drink!
